It's been a busy few weeks around here and I'm determined to keep making! I made several holiday gifts this year for friends and family. I'll post images of a few of them, shh!!!
The first gift I made is this awesome calendar handmade book! Here's the cover:
The inside is a weekly calendar layout, with no dates, so you can add your own as you go! (If you skip a week, it's not wasting paper!) And each day has space to write to-dos or plans for the morning/evening. I hope this person enjoys it!
Of course I put my name in it, and said Merry Christmas!
This next gift was something this person wanted, and it cost me NOTHING! :D I had this frame around my house for a while, it's an odd size so I didn't know what to do with it. I got the wire from a generous donor from my church. Then just easy large staples in the back to hold it in place. Voila!
Soo... I visited Painting with a Twist a few weeks ago, to see what it was like, and then last week I interviewed there. And now I've got a job! Yahoo!! Anyways I painted this piece, and it's going to a loved aunt of mine!
This is something I didn't create, but I got to snap a picture of it! My friend 3-d printed a Texas Tech logo. I just thought it was the coolest thing ever! It is made of 3 pieces, each fits into each other. He was going to finish sanding it then paint it the correct colors. Super cool!
Last but not least, a few Saturdays ago, I got to help a lady at my church make pecan pralines for the entire church! It was a blast spending the day with her, and learning the skill of candy-making!
Merry Christmas and I hope you have a great holiday season!
